Areas of Influence

How to use the Areas of Influence template

 

1. Enter the item to be analyzed into the symbol labeled "Item Influenced," or replace this symbol with one from the symbol libraries.

2. Think about direct influences. Select symbols that represent these influences and drag them into the area labeled "Direct Influence."

3. Continue in the same way with the areas labeled "Secondary Influence" and "Lesser Influence."

4. Use the Record feature to further analyze these influences.

 

Benefits of using the Areas of Influence template

This template allows users to analyze influences on a problem in a way that is both hierarchical and spatial. Users will discover that some influences are direct or immediate, while others are more global or indirect.
