How to use the Concept Map template

 

1. Enter the concept to be mapped into the symbol labeled "New Concept."

2. Use point and type to add new symbols to record all you know about the subject.

3. Use the Link tool to connect related concepts.

4. In each link's associated text box, enter words that explain the connections between the ideas.

5. Use the Note tool to add notes and record explanatory information.

 

Benefits of using the Concept Map template

Concept maps show relationships between ideas. Typically they are used in any discipline to help analyze information, chains of events, systems, subsystems, and the like.

In particular, concept maps connect symbols with syntax so meaning can be constructed, understood, and remembered, both visually and verbally.
