Connections

If it's really true that we're 'known by the company we keep', these pages are an opportunity to get to know us better, much better.

MindServe is constantly on the lookout to catch great organizations and people in the 'act' of:

  • Doing the right things right
  • Finding courage to go beyond the ordinary
  • 'Imagineering' wildly successful projects and 'ways'
  • Deploying outrageously powerful, but simple technology
  • Expanding their horizon to deliver real and unquestionable value to their customers
  • Focusing on powerful learning through multiples of media
  • Innovating to seriously touch the minds of students, educators, and beyond...

Why do we do this? More importantly, why do they do what they do? The answer is straightforward and simplistic, but not simple.

They do what they do because they must. It's in their nature to learn from each other, to grow, to succeed, and to exceed even their own expectations for delivering a world class customer experience.

Explore with us now some truly best in class situations, their people, and their special gifts we've encountered along the way.

A Beautiful Mind

The smash hit movie, A Beautiful Mind has one of the most powerful and moving uses of Flash in a website we've seen to date. But that's not the point. Well, not really. Go to their site and click 'Enter the Site'. After the opening animation, place your cursor in the middle of the screen and gently 'lean' left to scroll until you reach the 'Formulas' section. Select 'Genius Resources'. Inspiration® is listed as a Genius Resource. We're not surprised, are you?

Two Apple engineers founded this company in 1992. According to them they produce 'affordable, portable personal learning solutions for the classroom'. According to us they produce wonderfully rugged useful computing devices running on the Palm OS® In fact, we'd call them a 'Palm on steroids'. If you've ever used a Palm Pilot and wished you had a real keyboard to go with it, these machines are nothing short of 'magic'. And of course Inspiration for Palm OS® works on the AlphaSmart machines really well because of the larger, wider screens. We see huge potential for these machines, and not just in education.

Dan's new book, A Whole New Mind (Moving from the Information Age to the Conceptual Age) provides some sturdy handrails for getting along in a growingly complex world. His insights are unique, if not staggering. His point? The linear, logical, rigidly left brain prowess that's been brought us to where we are, will pale to the rise of right brain qualities such as inventiveness, creativity, and the like. Tom Peters (from the liner notes) suggests “we just may have discovered our Copernicus from the brave new age that's accelerating into being.”

We think Inspiration software could well be the new power tool for the emerging right brain digerati, and beyond.
