Mind Map

A mind map is a hierarchical diagram with a central idea or image, at the center of the map surrounded by branches that extend from the central idea. Inspiration® mind maps follow the techniques developed by Tony Buzan and others.

Mind mapping branches contain supporting ideas or topics. Higher level topics are generally closer to the central idea while lower level topics support or relate to first-level topic or even the central idea.

A second-level topic is an idea that supports a first-level idea, and so on. As you add ideas, the mind map's branches can grow to contain many levels.

When you create a mind map using Inspiration®, enter your central idea and then easily, with just one click, add the supporting ideas using text and symbols to describe or represent your thinking. While mind mapping, you can show a connection or relationship between ideas among different branches by using the relationship link.

The Note feature of Inspiration® Software for Business allows you to expand each idea with greater detail and supporting text. After you add idea branches, relationship links and notes, you can use color and other formatting options to emphasize the connections on the mind map.

Of all the graphic organizers, Inspiration® is the only software that converts a graphical view, like a mind map into a linear (outline) view - with just a simple click!
