Developing a Research Topic
This template helps students break down the research process into manageable sections. Building on prior knowledge, they see connections as they research and analyze new information.
Utilizing this template you can:
- Reflect on what you already know about the subject. Enter this information into the symbols associated with 'Known information.'
- Brainstorm a list of questions about the subject that reflect what you want to know. Enter the questions into the symbols associated with 'Information to be researched.'
- Explore ways of researching the questions. Enter these into the symbols associated with 'Research strategy.'
- Record answers to your questions in the symbols associated with 'New information and connections.'
- Add symbols as necessary using the Create tool or the RapidFire™ tool.
